About

AAGPS was formed on 30 March 1892, and today has nine members – eight Sydney schools and The Armidale School, a country boarding school.

Sydney Grammar School (SGS / G)
Sydney Boys High School (High / H)
Saint Ignatius’ College (SIC / I)
St Joseph’s College (SJC / J)
The King’s School (TKS / K)
Newington College (NC / N)
The Scots College (TSC / S)

GPS representative sports sides are selected for matches against the representative sides of the Combined Associated Schools (CAS), Independent Schools Association (ISA) and Combined High Schools (CHS), Association of Independent Co-Educational Schools (ASCIS) and Combined Catholic Colleges (CCC).

The AAGPS Committee consists of The Executive (see below), and a Delegate from each of the Associated Member Schools (generally the Sportsmaster or Director of Curricular Activities), together with an Honorary Convener of each of the member sports.

Within each sport also consists a Sub-Committee, which is headed by the Hononary Convenor and a representative Master in Charge (MIC) from each member school.

AAGPS is governed by the Articles of the AAGPS Constitution and Regulations for Sporting Competitions.
